Ricciardo ontvangt gridstraf voor crash met Magnussen

Daniel Ricciardo kende een zeer teleurstellende Braziliaanse Grand Prix. De Australische McLaren-coureur tikte in de eerste ronde Kevin Magnussen aan en klapte vervolgens op de Haas van de Deen. De stewards bekeken de zaak en wezen na afloop Ricciardo als schuldige aan, hij ontving een forse straf.

De stewards spraken na afloop met beide coureurs. Men weer uiteindelijk Ricciardo als schuldige aan, hij ontving twee strafpunten op zijn superlicentie en hij krijgt een gridstraf van drie plaatsen voor de Grand Prix van Abu Dhabi. In zijn laatste race voor McLaren moet hun dus naar achteren op de grid. De stewards keken vooral naar het moment dat Ricciardo de achterkant van de wagen van Magnussen aantikte.

    Ik begrijp dus echt totaal niet dat zo’n klein tikje een gridstraf is(ondanks de grote gevolgen voor beide heren) terwijl de actie van Norris op Leclerc slechts 5 seconde is…

      Norris zat nog in de race, daarom 5 seconden.
      Ricirado lag er al uit, vandaar 3 plekken straf

      De coulance in de eerste ronde is bij deze uit het reglement begrijp ik?
      Het was een kleine touche, die zo vaak in de eerste ronde voorkomt.
      Dat ze later elkaar nog een keer raken wat ze beide fataal wordt, staat daar los van.

      Totale onzin NicoS. Heeft niks met een eerste ronde incident te maken. Hij maakt een move en dan toch weer niet en tikt vervolgens heel dom Kevin aan door het loslaten van zijn rem tijdens het trail braken. Had gewoon controle over de auto maar tikt toch Kevin de rondte in. Gewoon dom en een meer dan terechte straf.

    De inflatie lijkt ook effect te hebben op de strafpunten. Die geven ze ook voor de minste foutjes maar soms ook weer niet. De consequentie is zeker dit jaar nog niet gevonden.
