Sargeant heeft superlicentie binnen en mag zich opmaken voor Williams-zitje

Het lijkt erop dat het Formule 1-veld voor 2023 compleet is. Alleen het team van Williams had nog een zitje vrij maar het was al geruime tijd duidelijk dat dit zitje gereserveerd was voor Logan Sargeant. De Amerikaan moest nog wel eventjes genoeg superlicentiepunten halen.

Sargeant moest dit weekend scoren in de seizoensafsluiter van de Formule 2. De jonge Amerikaan deed wat hij moest doen en kwam in de feature race als vijfde over de streep. Hiermee deed hij wat hij moest doen, hij behield namelijk zijn plekje in de top vijf van het wereldkampioenschap. Hij verloor weliswaar een plekje aan Liam Lawson maar de superlicentie is binnen voor Sargeant. Het is dan ook een kwestie van tijd voordat Williams het contract helemaal rond maakt.

Had eigenlijk de F3 titel van Piastri moeten hebben, totdat hij gesandwiched werd.

En een F3 titel halen met Charouz kan niemand.
