Sargeant kiest startnummer 2 voor debuutseizoen

Logan Sargeant debuteert aankomend seizoen in de Formule 1 bij het team van Williams. De Amerikaanse coureur mocht dit seizoen al wennen aan de koningsklasse van de autosport tijdens een aantal vrije trainingen. Sargeant is nu helemaal klaar voor het echte werk, hij heeft zijn startnummer ook al uitgekozen.

Sargeant rijdt aankomend seizoen namelijk met startnummer 2. Dit nummer was nog vrij en de Amerikaan had zijn keuze dan ook snel gemaakt. In een persbericht van zijn team Williams legt Sargeant zijn keuze uit: "Ik reed met dit nummer in de Formule Renault en ik had dat jaar best een goed seizoen. Eigenlijk is nummer 3 mijn nummer maar dat is al bezet. Ik dacht dus: 'Waarom kies ik niet voor een succesvol nummer uit het verleden?''
