Marko redelijk optimistisch voor 2023: "Max wordt nog steeds beter"

Over ruim twee maanden gaat het nieuwe Formule 1-seizoen alweer van start. De teams zijn momenteel hard bezig met de voorbereidingen op het aankomende seizoen. Red Bull Racing wil zijn wereldtitels gaan verdedigen en Helmut Marko is voorzichtig optimistisch over het aanstaande seizoen.

Red Bull beleefde afgelopen jaar een topseizoen in de koningsklasse van de autosport. De Oostenrijkse renstal werd constructeurskampioen en won met Max Verstappen tevens de wereldtitel. Wel kreeg men een dubbele straf voor het overschrijden van de budgetcap in 2021. Red Bull krijgt een forse geldboete en mag daarnaast ook minder tijd doorbrengen in de windtunnel. Toch overheerst er optimisme.

Red Bull Racing-adviseur Helmut Marko ziet namelijk dat zijn team de zaakjes aardig op orde heeft. De Oostenrijkse adviseur ziet dat veel eigenlijk hetzelfde blijft. In gesprek met zijn landgenoten van ServusTV spreekt Marko zich erover uit: "Het team blijft bij elkaar en Max wordt nog steeds elke keer een beetje beter. Daarom denk ik dan ook dat we dit seizoen redelijk optimistisch kunnen gaan beginnen. We kunnen in ieder geval gaan verder bouwen vanuit een succesvolle auto uit het seizoen 2022."

Max heeft eigenlijk geen fouten gemaakt afgelopen raceseizoen, dus hij is aan zijn top denk ik.
