Horner ziet voordeel: "Altijd waarde gehecht aan continuïteit"

het team van Red Bull Racing begint dit jaar gewoon weer met de vertrouwde gezichten aan het nieuwe seizoen. In tegenstelling tot veel andere teams heeft de Oostenrijkse renstal geen nieuwe teambaas aangesteld. Teambaas Christian Horner denkt dat dit een goed teken is voor het team.

De afgelopen winterstop werd gekenmerkt door een heuse transfercarrousel bij de teambazen. De teams van Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, McLaren en Williams stelden allemaal een nieuwe teambaas aan. Bij Red Bull bleef alles rustig en vertrokken er ook geen andere kopstukken naar andere teams. Het zorgde voor een relatief rustige winter bij de Oostenrijkse regerend constructeurskampioen.

Continuïteit

Red Bull-teambaas Christian Horner is van mening dat de rustige winter een groot voordeel is voor het team. De Britse teambaas legt zijn mening uit bij MotorSport Magazine: "We hebben altijd waarde gehecht aan continuïteit. Ik denk dat dat een enorm voordeel heeft, het voorkomt dat er een cultuur van angst heerst. Ik denk dat de stabiliteit een van onze grootste krachten is, ik ben daar altijd voorstander van geweest. Je kan verder bouwen op de stabiliteit en je stelt mensen in staat om hun werk te doen."

Motivatie

Horner is al sinds het begin van het team betrokken bij Red Bull. De Brit heeft in de afgelopen jaren zeer veel successen mogen vieren en hij wil dan ook nog lang niet stoppen. Horner is daar dan ook zeer duidelijk over: "Ik ben nog net zo gemotiveerd als op mijn eerste werkdag. Ik kijk uit naar wat er dit jaar op ons ligt te wachten. Ik kijk daarnaast ook uit naar wat er in de pijplijn zit voor 2026 en verder."

  Jij had ook best gelezen dat het hier over het topmanagement van de teams gaat @Mr_Flexible, maar goed, over Honda gesproken, een relatie van zeven jaar met een leverancier is toch behoorlijk te noemen.
  Bovendien wou Honda met de relatie stoppen, niet Horner (RB)...

Wat gaat er met het team gebeuren als Newey ( Bijna met pensioen) stopt en Helmut het genoeg vind die is ook al ver in de 70 hij is de contactpersoon met de board van RB ?.

Als je newey in het team hebt is er ook weinig reden tot verandering. Een top 6 coureur erbij en wat sjoemelen met het budget dan komt het succes vanzelf.
