Alonso, Tsunoda en Ocon onthullen helmdesigns voor 2023

Formule 1-coureurs Fernando Alonso, Yuki Tsunoda en Esteban Ocon delen via social media hun eerste hoofdbeschermingsmiddelen voor het aankomende seizoen. Opvallende designs zijn op naam van Tsunoda en Ocon, die beiden voor een uniek ontwerp hebben gekozen. Volgens liefhebbers valt de helm van Alonso meer onder het lijstje van helmen met een standaard uiterlijk.

Alvorens er naar Bahrein voor de jaarlijkse Formule 1-preseasontests afgereisd zal worden, onthullen alle desbetreffende teams hun kleurschema voor het aankomende seizoen. Naast de “ooh’s en aah’s” van de unieke, nieuwe livery’s voor 2023, beginnen ook de helmdesigns langzaamaan via social media binnen te druppelen. Vandaag waren Fernando Alonso, Yuki Tsunoda en Esteban Ocon aan bod om hun helmdesign met de wereld te delen.

Alonso’s helmdesign zou als traditioneel beschreven kunnen worden. De Spaanse kleuren van rood en geel komen ook dit jaar weer terug, terwijl persoonlijke sponsor Citi een groot vlak blauw voor rekening neemt.

Tsunoda’s design krijgt van de Formule 1-liefhebbers al flink wat meer liefde. Vooral zijn thuisfans vinden het uiterlijk bij voorbaat al leuk, aangezien de helm een witte achtergrond heeft met daarop grote bladeren van de Japanse Esdoorn. AlphaTauri’s nieuwe hoofdsponsor Orlen heeft een klein aandeel op Yuki’s helm, namelijk in de hoek van het vizier.

Als klap op de vuurpijl komt Ocon met een soort darth vader helm op de proppen. Met een zwarte achtergrond en rode, fluorescerende strepen lijkt de Fransman klaar te zijn voor een hevige strijd in de subtop (en misschien met teamgenoot Gasly?).

  Ik vond die paarse van Hamilton van een paar jaar geleden erg mooi. Dat was zo'n beetje de laatste mooie helm.
  Maar deze van Ocon is echt nog een tandje mooier. Pracht ding inderdaad.

  Met 1, 2 en 3 ben ik het eens, maar die bladeren zijn in de aarde tinten
  geel/oranje/rood en daarmee geeft hij aan dat hij meer down to earth
  zal zijn, dus minder mopperen en vloeken. 😉

Tsunoda houdt was van een beetje art, zag je ook in die teken video van F1. Denk dat hij hier ook wel zelf invloed op gehad heeft. Ocon is ook een heel mooi design.
