Nog meer drama voor Alpine: dubbele pitlanestart voor Ocon

Het team van Alpine beleeft een rampzalig weekend in Azerbeidzjan. Pierre Gasly kampte in elke sessie met schade en ook Esteban Ocon heeft een pechdag. Het team heeft namelijk zojuist bekend gemaakt dat ze de wagen van Ocon uit het parce ferme halen, hierdoor start hij uit de pitlane.

Ocon kwam vanochtend gewoon in actie tijdens de allereerste Sprint Shootout uit de geschiedenis van de sport. Hij noteerde de dertiende tijd, maar hij zal niet op die positie starten. Alpine maakte bekend dat ze de parc ferme-condities hebben verbroken en daarom moet Ocon de Sprint vanuit de pitlane starten. Het team heeft de set-up van de ophanging aangepast. Aangezien er wordt gewerkt met de regels volgens het sprintformat, start Ocon morgen in de Grand Prix ook vanuit de pitlane.
