Magnussen ziet anti-stall als oorzaak van Perez-incident

De Grand Prix van Monaco werd afgelopen weekend gekenmerkt door veel chaos. Alhoewel er geen Safety Car-fase was, waren er wel veel incidenten. Kevin Magnussen en Sergio Perez raakten elkaar en dat zorgde voor frustratie bij de Mexicaanse Red Bull-coureur. Volgens Magnussen werd dit incident veroorzaakt door anti-stall.

Perez probeerde zich in Monaco door het achterveld heen te worstelen, maar dit ging niet helemaal naar wens. De Red Bull Racing-coureur probeerde Haas-coureur Kevin Magnussen in te halen bij uit uitkomen van de tunnel. In de chicane raakten de twee elkaar en riep Perez dat Magnussen een brake test uitvoerde. Of dit echt het geval was, werd eigenlijk niet duidelijk.

Magnussen werd na afloop van de race gevraagd naar het incident. De Deen viel zelf uit en had een lastige race. Magnussen weet wat er mis ging en wordt geciteerd door Motorsportweek: "Ik werd twee of drie keer geraakt op mijn diffuser. Om één of andere manier schoot de auto ook ineens in de anti-stall. Ik raakte de kerb en toen kreeg ik ineens die melding van de anti-stall. Ik kon niet snel genoeg reageren en Checo raakte daardoor mijn auto. De auto raakte hierbij beschadigd, maar ik denk dat onze race toen wel over was."
