Norris bestolen tijdens vakantie in Marbella

Lando Norris hoopt dit weekend in Oostenrijk goed voor de dag te kunnen komen. Hij zal het raceweekend ook gaan gebruiken als een soort afleiding, hij heeft namelijk een lastige week achter de rug. De Britse McLaren-coureur werd tijdens zijn vakantie in Marbella namelijk beroofd.

Tijdens de twee vrije weken tussen de Canadese en Oostenrijkse Grand Prix vertrok Norris naar het Spaanse Marbella om vakantie te vieren. Daar ging het dus mis. Voor Norris was het de tweede keer in korte tijd dat hij te maken kreeg met een diefstal. In 2021 werd de Brit namelijk beroofd toen hij naar zijn auto liep na afloop van een EK-voetbalwedstrijd in Wembley in de Britse hoofdstad Londen.

In Oostenrijk geeft Norris aan dat hij dus weer het slachtoffer is geworden van diefstal. De Brit kan er nog niet teveel over zeggen, maar is in gesprek met PA wel eerlijk: "We waren uiteten toen er in onze villa werd ingebroken. Ze hebben veel verschillende dingen gestolen. Er zijn spullen van waarde meegenomen, maar ook spullen die niet zoveel waarde hadden. Momenteel is het onderzoek nog in volle gang, dus ik kan er nog niet teveel over gaan zeggen."
