Leclerc en Stroll bestraft voor overschrijden track limits

Ook in de sprintrace van vandaag speelden track limits weer een grote rol. De stewards letten op het feit dat veel coureurs weer buiten de lijntjes kleurden. Na afloop van de sprint werden slechts twee coureurs bestraft voor het overtreden van de limieten, dat had gevolgen voor de uitslag.

Lance Stroll en Charles Leclerc hebben allebei een tijdstraf van vijf seconden ontvangen voor het verlaten van de baan zonder een geldige reden. Beide coureurs overschreden te vaak de track limits en dat zorgt nu dus voor straffen. Voor Leclerc is dit pijnlijk omdat hij hierdoor zijn WK-punten verliest, Stroll was al niet in de punten over de finish gekomen. Beide coureurs hebben vier maal de track limits overschreden.

    Jammer dat dan niet in het stuk staat op welke plek Leclerc nu geëindigd is.
    Even snel gekeken moet dat 12e zijn, als dat klopt.

      Hij is in ieder geval 1 keer buiten de baan gedrukt door Sainz, zijn eigen teammaat. De andere keren heb ik eerlijk gezegd niet gezien, maar het zal wel zo zijn. Fair racen doet Leclerc eigenlijk altijd.

      Ik kan natuurlijk ook wat gemist hebben, maar een baan als deze, in deze omstandigheden, zonder voordeel te hebben behaald én geen waarschuwingsvlag te hebben ontvangen ( in ieder geval niet in beeld geweest ) is überhaupt heel vreemd. Dat gaat nog wat worden morgen.
