Norris behoudt eerste plaats en ontvangt reprimande

Lando Norris start de sprintrace van zometeen gewoon vanaf de eerste plaats. De Britse McLaren-coureur moest zich bij de stewards melden omdat hij mogelijk de maximale rondetijd had overschreden. De stewards hebben hem slechts een reprimande gegeven voor de overtreding.

Meerdere coureurs moesten zich bij de stewards melden voor het mogelijk overschrijden van de maximale rondetijd die was ingesteld door wedstrijdleider Niels Wittich. De stewards oordeelden echter dat Norris geen straf hoeft te krijgen, ze vinden een reprimande goed genoeg. De stewards begrepen de uitleg van Norris en McLaren over de situatie met Yuki Tsunoda en daarom is een reprimande de gepaste straf volgens hen.
