Horner wil niet te vroeg juichen: "We zagen het eerder bij Mercedes"

Het team van Red Bull Racing beleefde dit jaar één van de meest dominante seizoenen uit de geschiedenis van de Formule 1. De Oostenrijkse renstal won slechts één race niet en ze werden met gemak constructeurskampioen en wereldkampioen. Teambaas Christian Horner wil echter nog niet op de zaakjes voor uit lopen voor 2024.

Aan de hand van Max Verstappen wist Red Bull dit jaar te domineren in de Formule 1. De Nederlander schreef slechts drie Grands Prix niet op zijn naam en hij verpulverde meerdere grote records. Red Bull kende één van de succesvolste circuits uit de geschiedenis van de koningsklasse van de autosport. Aangezien de regels voor 2024 amper veranderen, vreest men voor een nieuw dominant jaar van Red Bull.

2021

Red Bull-teambaas Christian Horner wil in ieder geval niet te vroeg gaan juichen. Hij wijst naar het verleden in gesprek met Motorsport.com: "We zagen het bij Mercedes in 2020. Dat was hun dominantste jaar ooit en wij versloegen ze daarna in 2021. Er is een subtiele regelwijziging en ik denk dat niets vaststaat. We hebben tegenstanders gezien die dichterbij kwamen op verschillende plekken en ik weet zeker dat concepten zich zullen ontwikkelen."

Herhalen

Horner denkt dan ook niet dat zijn team in 2024 weer zal gaan heersen. De Britse Red Bull-teambaas weet dat het lastig wordt om een soortgelijke prestatie te herhalen en daar is hij ook eerlijk over: "Ik denk niet dat we in staat zullen zijn om dit seizoen te herhalen. Hopelijk hebben we lessen getrokken uit de RB19 en we hopen dat we die kunnen toepassen voor de RB20. Hopelijk kunnen we een auto bouwen waarmee we onze titels kunnen verdedigen."

Ondanks 1000+ tips van forumleden, blijft hij consequent elke keer in zijn @rtikelen fouten maken die je er zeer eenvoudig uit kan halen door gewoon gebruik te maken van moderne tools zoals ChatGPT. En hier op deze s!te vinden ze die grote hoeveelheid van fouten van hem overduidelijk totaal geen issue.
