Horner wijst naar concurrentie voor 2024: "Veld komt dichterbij elkaar"

Het team van Red Bull Racing was dit seizoen bijna onverslaanbaar in de Formule 1. Het was dan ook geen verrassing dat de Oostenrijkse renstal constructeurskampioen werd en dat Max Verstappen zijn wereldtitel prolongeerde. Christian Horner denkt alleen niet dat een zitje bij Red Bull nog aantrekkelijker gaat worden voor topcoureurs.

Met Max Verstappen heeft Red Bull al de grootste naam uit de Formule 1 onder contract staan. De Nederlander presteerde zeer sterk en hij was veel sneller dan zijn teamgenoot Sergio Perez. Het stoeltje van de Mexicaan was in de afgelopen maanden meerdere keren onderwerp van gesprek. Hij heeft nog een contract tot en met 2024, maar of hij daarna nog zal blijven rijden in de toekomst is nog niet duidelijk.

Veel topcoureurs zijn dan ook al in verband gebracht met het tweede Red Bull-zitje. In gesprek met Sky Sports wordt Horner geconfronteerd met de stelling dat het tweede Red Bull-stoeltje zeer aantrekkelijk kan worden voor topcoureurs. Hij denkt daar iets anders over: "De RB19 is de meeste dominante auto ooit, dus je kan je voorstellen dat het aantrekkelijk is om daarin te rijden. Maar wij hebben ook fantastische coureurs. Als de regels niet veranderen, komt het veld dichterbij elkaar. We strijden tegen geweldige teams dus 2024 zal anders zijn. We verwachten veel tegenstand van McLaren, Mercedes en Ferrari."

Mis Christian, volgens zeer veel fans van Max is die wagen he-le-maal niet dominant.

Als Max zo strak blijft rijden, blijft het ook in het volgend seizoen alleen de eerste 5 rondjes leuk om te zien. Daarna gaan de bandjes van de concurrentie eraan en rijdt Max alles en iedereen weer los. En blijft de strijd om P2.
Dus Mclaren maak een beest van een wagen. Oké Mercedes en Ferrari ook, vooruit dan maar.

Mis Christian, volgens zeer veel fans van Max is die wagen he-le-maal niet dominant.
Dat die wagen per ronde 5seconde sneller is komt omdat Max achter het stuur zit...... volgens diezelfde fans.

Zelfs Christian kan er naast zitten met z'n uitspraken haha.....die Christian toch!

  Als de tweede coureur ook "fantastisch" is dan kan de RB19 gezien zijn resultaten niet "de meeste dominante auto ooit" zijn.
  Of, als de RB19 "de meeste dominante auto ooit" is, kan de tweede coureur gezien zijn resultaten niet "fantastisch" zijn.
  
  Gezien de resultaten van de tweede coureur kan de waarheid kan wel eens in het midden liggen. Dat de RB19 een topauto is maar niet heel dominanten dat de tweede coureur redelijk goed is maar niet echt fantastisch...
