Norris vol vertrouwen: "We zijn eindelijk de juiste weg ingeslagen"

Het team van McLaren kende dit jaar een opmerkelijke opmars. De Britse renstal begon in het achterveld, maar was uiteindelijk één van de grootste uitdagers van Red Bull Racing. Lando Norris is tevreden en hij heeft goede hoop voor het aankomende seizoen.

McLaren leek af te stevenen op een rampzalig seizoen in de koningsklasse van de autosport. Ze vochten slechts met de achterblijvers, maar een groot updatepakket deed wonderen. McLaren ging steeds beter presteren en Lando Norris en Oscar Piastri waren in vorm. Ze stonden regelmatig op het podium, ze daagden Red Bull uit en Piastri wist in Qatar zelfs de sprintrace op zijn naam te schrijven.

Norris heeft dan ook veel vertrouwen voor een goed resultaat in het aankomende seizoen. De Brit is hoopvol en dat deelt hij met RaceFans: "We bevinden ons op de juiste weg. We hebben een aantal nieuwe mensen die in 2024 binnenkomen bij ons team. Dus misschien zien we hun kennis niet direct op de auto, maar er zijn al een aantal dingen die we weten. We hebben enorm veel geleerd in de laatste maanden. We hebben veel geleerd en veel progressie geboekt. Ik heb er zin in omdat we eindelijk de juiste weg in zijn geslagen. We weten welke kant we op moeten gaan en ik wil het seizoen goed beginnen."
