Szymkowiak teamgenoot van Verstappen bij Van Amersfoort

Jules Szymkowiak en Gustavo Menezes zijn door Van Amersfoort Racing aangetrokken als stalgenoten voor Max Verstappen in het Europees Formule 3-kampioenschap. Szymkowiak is een 18-jarige Nederlander, afkomstig uit de Formule BMW Talent Cup.

Het drietal van Van Amersfoort Racing treft komend seizoen ook Felix Rosenqvist in het Europees Formule 3-kampioenschap. De Zweed zocht deze winter naar opties voor een stapje hogerop, maar is toch weer veroordeeld tot de serie waarin hij vorig jaar als runner-up eindigde.

Rosenqvist: "Het is geen geheim dat ik na jaren in de Formule 3 bezig ben geweest met alternatieve plannen voor dit seizoen. Het bleek echter niet mogelijk om tot de GP2 of de World Series by Renault door te dringen. Dus zit er voor mij niets anders op dan een gooi naar de titel te doen in de Formule 3."
