Arden International kiest voor Perez en Mortara

Telmex Arden International wordt komend seizoen in de GP2 vertegenwoordigd door Sergio Perez en Edoardo Mortara. Perez is een 19-jarige Mexicaan en won al races voor Campos in de GP2 Asia Series. De 22-jarige Italiaan Mortara eindigde vorig jaar als tweede in de Formule 3 Euroseries en belandde op het podium bij zijn debuut voor Arden in de Asia Series.

Perez heeft hoge doelen voor komend seizoen. Racen voor een team als Arden is een geweldige kans voor mij en ik kijk er echt naar uit. Ik geloof dat we de potentie hebben om serieus mee te strijden voor de titel en dus moet dat ons richtpunt zijn. Het wordt extreem zwaar, een grote uitdaging en ik hoop alles uit deze geweldige mogelijkheid voor mijn loopbaan te halen.

Mortara: Ik ben verguld dat ik dit jaar aan het Europese GP2-seizoen mee mag doen voor Arden. Dit is een zeer professioneel team dat weet hoe het moet winnen. In de Asia Series verloopt de samenwerking al goed, dus ik voorzie geen problemen met de overgang naar de nieuwe auto. Ik heb al een podiumplek op mijn naam staan in de Asia Series en ik hoop op ongeveer dezelfde resultaten in het Europese seizoen.
