Alex Lynn grijpt titel in kwalificatie in Abu Dhabi

Alex Lynn is de nieuwe GP3-kampioen. De kleine kans die Dean Stoneman nog had om zijn landgenoot van de troon te stoten is na de kwalificatie voor de hoofdrace in Abu Dhabi verkeken. Stoneman had pole position nodig en die behaalde hij niet.

Daardoor loopt de Brit de benodigde bonuspunten mis en is de titel voor Lynn. Marvin Kirchhofer was de snelste in de kwalificatie. Lynn legde beslag op P4. Het talent uit de opleiding van Red Bull is een van de gegadigden voor het stoeltje bij Toro Rosso naast Max Verstappen.
