Boccolacci pakt eerste zege MP Motorsport in GP3

Dorian Boccolacci heeft zijn eerste zege van het GP3-seizoen gepakt op de Hungaroring. In de race op zondagochtend was de Fransman net iets beter dan het ART-duo Callum Ilott en Anthoine Hubert. Ook pakte Boccolacci de eerste zege van MP Motorsport in deze klasse.

Boccolacci mocht vanaf pole position vertrekken en reed daarna eenvoudig weg bij de achtervolgers. In de slotfase konden Ilott en Hubert de achterstand nog wat verkleinen, maar het verschil op de finish was nog steeds bijna 2,5 seconde. Ilott verkleinde met zijn tweede plaats wel zijn achterstand op Hubert in het kampioenschap. Hubert leidt met 129 punten, terwijl Ilott na de race van vandaag op 114 staat. Leonardo Pulcini nam met zijn vierde plaats de derde positie in het kampioenschap weer over van Nikita Mazepin: 99 om 98 punten.
