Sims wint tweede race, Melker opnieuw op het podium

Alexander Sims heeft de tweede race van op het circuit van Istanbul op dominante wijze weten te winnen. Michael Christensen werd uiteindelijk tweede, terwijl Nigel Melker als derde finishte en hiermee opnieuw een podium scoorde.

Sims had in het begin van de race nog wel enkele tegenstand van teamgenoot Antonio Felix da Costa, maar na een halve race viel Da Costa terug naar achteren. In één ronde tijd verloor de Portugees twee plaatsen waarna een kans op het podium verkeken was.

De opmars van Nigel Melker was indrukwekkend te noemen. Gestart vanaf de achtste positie wist Melker zich door het veld op te werken naar een uiteindelijke derde positie.

Sims wint de race, voor Christensen en Melker. Da Costa, Caldarelli, Smith, Evans, Bottas, Dillman en Haryanto maken de top tien vol.
