Dallara chassisleverancier tot en met 2020

Dallara heeft het contract voor de levering van chassis' aan de IndyCar met meerdere jaren verlengd. De Italiaanse firma heeft zich minstens tot en met 2020 aan de Amerikaanse raceklasse verbonden. Dat kondigden officials van beide partijen aan op de North American International Auto Show.

IndyCar-voorzitter Jay Frye: "De participatie van Dallara aan ons kampioenschap geeft de IndyCar en onze deelnemers veel vertrouwen. Dallara is al twintig jaar een instrumentale partner van de IndyCar en het doet ons deugd om onze relatie met hen voort te zetten."

Dallara zal het IR-12 chassis voor 2018 van metamorfose voorzien, waardoor de teams meer flexibiliteit en controle krijgen wat betreft de onderdelen voor hun auto. De IndyCar bracht wat eerste schetsen naar buiten en zal binnen afzienbare tijd meer details delen.
