IndyCar toont concept nieuwe auto 2018

IndyCar heeft animaties vrijgegeven van de nieuwe auto voor het seizoen 2018. Grootste verandering zullen de zogenaamde 'aerokits' zijn. Motorleveranciers Honda en Chevrolet hebben hun eigen aeorodynamische pakket ontwikkelt en de huidige reglementen betreffende het doorontwikkelen zorgden met name vorig jaar voor flinke verschillen.

In de nieuwe opzet moeten de verschillen tussen de pakketten een stuk kleiner worden. Doel is ook om de 'vuile' lucht te beperken. IndyCar werkt met verschillende typen pakketten vanwege de verschillende circuits waar op gereden worden. Op de normale circuits wordt met een pakket met gemiddelde neerwaartse druk geworden, op de stratencircuits zijn er veel extra vleugeltjes op de auto's om zoveel mogelijk neerwaartse druk te generen. Tijdens de ovalraces wordt er met zo weinig mogelijk vleugel gereden om een zo hoog mogelijke topsnelheid te behalen.

Vind de huidige echt gedrochten.
Maar volg ik het alleen voor alonso, dus hoef me er gelukkig verder niet aan te ergeren.
