Pigot bemachtigt fulltime stoeltje bij ECR

Spencer Pigot racet in 2018 fulltime voor het team van Ed Carpenter Racing. De 23-jarige Amerikaan heeft een tweejarig contract getekend bij de renstal. Pigot deelt sinds juni 2016 de auto met startnummer 20 met teameigenaar Ed Carpenter, maar volgend jaar vervangt hij JR Hildebrand in de auto met startnummer 21.

Carpenter blijft zelf actief voor de races op ovals en zoekt nog een rijder die de wagen op de stratencircuits en normale banen zal bemannen. Pigot is blij met zijn stoeltje bij ECR. "Het is fijn om te weten dat het team in me gelooft en ik kan hen aan de resultaten helpen die zij verlangen. Er is geen ander team waar ik in deze fase van mijn loopbaan liever zou willen zijn. Ik geniet ervan om voor ECR te werken en ik hoopte al dat ik een kans zou krijgen om bij dit team door te groeien."

Beste Harco,

JR is gelinkt aan de one-off voor Indy, mits Ed Carpenter zich een nieuw chassis kan veroorloven. Wel weet ik dat de deal met Fuzzy Zoeler opengebroken en verlengt is en dat Ed daarnaast nog een partner zoekt voor een eventuele conjunction. Ed heeft de pech gehad dat er de afgelopen...
