SPM zet derde wagen in voor Jack Harvey

Het team van Schmidt Peterson Motorsports heeft bekend gemaakt in een aantal races een derde wagen in te zetten. De wagen zal bestuurd worden door Jack Harvey. Harvey maakte eerder dit jaar zijn debuut in de Indy 500 voor Schmidt.

De deal voor de Indy 500 kwam tot stand door een samenwerking tussen Schmidt Peterson Motorsport en Michael Shank Racing en beide partijen hebben de handen opnieuw in handen geslagen. Harvey zal zijn opwachting in ieder geval maken in St.Petersburg, Long Beach en Sonoma. Ook zal hij de Indy 500 rijden.

Het nieuws van het inzetten van een derde wagen door Schmidt Peterson Motorsports volgt op de bekendmaking dat de deal tussen het team en Tristan Gommendy afgeketst is. De Fransman probeerde via Calmels Sports een ingang te krijgen bij Schmidt Peterson Motorsports om zo de Indy 500 te kunnen rijden.
