IndyCar voert aanpassingen door aan herziene kalender

De IndyCar-organisatie heeft voor de tweede keer binnen een week tijd een herziene kalender voor het seizoen 2020 gepresenteerd. Na de presentatie van het vorige schema vielen de wedstrijden in Toronto en Richmond alsnog af. Daarvoor in de plaats komt een extra race op Road America.

Het evenement op Road America verandert in een double-header, een weekend met twee races, en wordt verplaatst naar de datum waarop Toronto de IndyCar had moeten verwelkomen; 11 en 12 juli. Het IndyCar-seizoen 2020 zal uit veertien races bestaan.

De herziene IndyCar-kalender voor 2020:

6 juni - Texas Motor Speedway
4 juli - Indianapolis (het gewone circuit)
11 & 12 juli - Road America
17 & 18 juli - Iowa
9 augustus - Mid-Ohio
23 augustus - Indy 500
30 augustus - Gateway
13 september - Portland
19 & 20 september - Monterey
3 oktober - Indianapolis (het gewone circuit)
25 oktober - St Petersburg
