Losgeraakt wiel raakt geparkeerde auto tijdens Indy 500

De Indianapolis 500 werd gisteren ontsierd door een aantal keiharde crashes. De hardste klapper kwam op naam van Kyle Kirkwood. De Amerikaan raakte de wagen van Felix Rosenqvist en vloog ondersteboven de boarding in. Een wiel werd bij dit incident gelanceerd en vloog over de hekken.

Al snel werd duidelijk dat het wiel geen slachtoffers had gemaakt. Het onderdeel was namelijk op de parkeerplaats terecht gekomen, waar het wiel een auto had geraakt. De schade aan de auto was zeer fors en het werd al snel afgeschermd door medewerkers van de race. Kirkwood en Rosenqvist bleven allebei ongedeerd bij het incident.
