Alexander Rossi vindt onderdak in IndyCar

Alexander Rossi maakt de overstap naar de IndyCar Series. De Amerikaan zag een Formule 1-stoeltje bij Manor Racing aan zijn neus voorbij gaan en besloot daarop om in eigen land naar onderdak te zoeken. Die vond hij in de IndyCar bij Andretti Autosport.

Rossi zal de auto met startnummer 98 gaan bemannen. "Ik verheug me erop om dit seizoen mijn debuut te maken in de IndyCar Series en ik ben trots dat ik voor een team van zo'n hoog kaliber en met zijn rijke historie als Andretti Autosport te mogen racen. Zoals een echte coureur betaamt kan ik niet wachten totdat we beginnen. Ons doel is om vanaf de eerste race in St Petersburg gelijk competitief voor de dag te komen."
