Will Stevens voor G-Drive naar Le Mans

G-Drive Racing heeft aangekondigd geen beroep meer te zullen doen op Nathanael Berthon. De Fransman was in de eerste twee rondes van het World Endurance Championship nog teamgenoot van Roman Rusinov en Rene Rast, maar de wegen van Berthon en G-Drive scheiden.

David Clark van G-Drive: "We willen Nathanael bedanken voor zijn inspanningen voor het team in 2016. We hebben solide resultaten bereikt in Silverstone en Spa en hij toonde aan dat hij geschikt is voor een topteam. We wensen Nathanael het beste voor de toekomst."

Zijn vervanger is ook al bekendgemaakt. Will Stevens zal voor G-Drive in actie komen bij de 24 uur van Le Mans. De voormalig Formule 1-coureur staat dit jaar onder contract bij Manor WEC, maar die renstal verleent hem dispensatie voor het belangrijkste weekend van het seizoen.
