Gutierrez: "Langer verblijf bij Sauber geniet mijn prioriteit"

Esteban Gutierrez zet vol in op een tweede seizoen bij Sauber, al houdt hij ook de deur richting de andere teams met beschikbare stoeltjes op een kier. De Mexicaan is niet de enige die naar een zitje bij de Zwitserse renstal dingt. Giedo van der Garde en Adrian Sutil azen ook op een plek bij Sauber.

Gutierrez beoordeelde zijn eigen debuutseizoen voor Totalrace met een 7. Gevraagd naar zijn perspectieven voor 2014, antwoordde hij: "We werken er hard aan. Ik heb goede mogelijkheden voor een vervolg in de Formule 1, ik hoop dat het allemaal gunstig uitpakt. Voor mij geniet Sauber de prioriteit. Het is belangrijk in de Formule 1 om continuïteit te hebben, maar het is nooit verkeerd om ook andere deuren open te zetten."
