Sauber beloont zichzelf niet voor strak optreden in Hongarije

Het team van Sauber vangt de zomerstop puntloos aan. De Zwitserse renstal beleeft een moeizaam seizoen en scoorde in de eerste elf Grands Prix nul punten. In Hongarije kwamen ze nog aardig dichtbij. Adrian Sutil strandde net buiten de top tien en dus net buiten de punten.

Toch was teambaas Monisha Kaltenborn tevreden over het optreden van Sauber in Boedapest. "Dit was een goede performance van het team, helaas zonder beloning in de vorm van punten. Esteban Gutierrez reed strak en het is frustrerend dat een probleem met ERS hem tot opgave dwong."

"Adrian Sutil was ook erg sterk bezig, alleen jammer dat hij net niet die belangrijke top tien-klassering in de wacht wist te slepen. Maar het hele team leverde een onberispelijk optreden in Hongarije onder moeilijke omstandigheden. Dit leek tenminste weer ergens op."
