Haas in Singapore met laatste upgrade van 2016

Haas F1 Team introduceert bij de Grand Prix van Singapore de laatste vernieuwingen voor de auto van dit seizoen. Met het pakket waarmee de Amerikaanse renstal het weekend in het Aziatische stadstaatje in actie komt zal het de rest van het seizoen moeten doen. Haas F1 wil nog proberen om Scuderia Toro Rosso van de zevende plaats te stoten.

Teambaas Günther Steiner: "We hebben een kleine upgrade voor Singapore in de pijplijn en dat is het voor de rest van het jaar. In Singapore kunnen we beoordelen hoe we ervoor staan. Singapore is sowieso een beetje een gok, dus we willen er eerst voor zorgen dat het pakket vernieuwingen goed functioneert. Maar hopelijk zetten we de trend uit België en Italië voort."

"De nieuwe motor die Ferrari in Monza leverde is absoluut een verbetering. Hoeveel precies is lastig te zeggen, omdat we geen directe vergelijking kunnen trekken. Maar het was zeker een stap vooruit. Zonder de verbeterde aandrijflijn van Ferrari hadden we nooit het laatste deel van de kwalificatie gehaald met Esteban Gutierrez."

Het verschil tussen Haas F1 en Toro Rosso bedraagt op dit moment zeventien punten.
