Coureurs voelen weinig voor wijzigen puntensysteem

De meeste Formule 1-coureurs zien geen brood in een nieuw puntensysteem. Liberty Media zou het puntensysteem in de Formule 1 op de schop willen nemen, om zo de spanning te vergroten. De coureurs zitten hier niet op te wachten.

Eerder stelde Fernando Alonso al dat hij geen fan is van een nieuw systeem. Volgens de Spanjaard is het met de huidige puntentelling nog echt een beloning als je in de top tien eindigt. Punten voor de top vijftien of het gehele veld neemt deze magie volgens Alonso weg.

Esteban Ocon en Romain Grosjean zijn het met Alonso eens. "Het puntensysteem is op dit moment erg interessant", aldus Ocon tegenover RMC Sport. "Het is lastig om in de top tien te komen en als dat lukt, dan is dat heel voldoenend." Volgens Grosjean is het huidige systeem 'De beste oplossing'.

Charles Leclerc was naar eigen zeggen eerst voorstander van een nieuw systeem, maar is hier inmiddels van teruggekomen. "Ik dacht dat het goed nieuws zou zijn, zeker voor ons, aangezien wij verder naar achteren staan."

"Als je veertiende of vijftiende wordt, dat zou dan een verschil maken", vervolgt Leclerc. "Hoe meer ik erover nadacht, des te meer was ik het eens met Fernando. We zijn blijer met punten wanneer enkel de top tien die krijgt, dan wanneer iedereen punten pakt."

    Als ze dit invoeren en men een aantal uitvallers heeft in een race dan kunnen deze ook punten verdienen als ze bv als 15de worden geclassificeerd. Dit gaat als het om een spannend gevecht gaat een doorslaggevende factor zijn. Daarnaast zal er weining verschil tussen de top en midfields teams komen. Ja meer punten. Ik ben er geen voorstander van

    4 = 14 punten
    5 = 12 punten
    6 = 10 punten
    7 = 8 punten
    8 = 6 punten
    9= 4 punten
    10= 2 punten

    Dit lijkt mij spannender uiteindelijk.

      Mij niet, men zal met zo'n puntensysteem in een race nog eerder gaan denken 2de of 3de plaats is prima want het scheelt maar 2 punten en dus eerder stoppen met aanvallen. Daarnaast zullen de aggressive spectaculaire coureurs nog meer in het nadeel komen tov van de accountants. Dat is niet wat ik wil zien.

      Wat is hier spannender aan? Stel je hebt 3 punten achterstand en jij rijdt 4de, die andere rijdt 6de... T risico voor die extra punten wanneer je t podium haalt, hoef je niet meer te nemen. Een overwinning wordt qua punten niks meer waard.

      Punten zijn goed nu, maar er zijn gewoon bepaalde banen die hun lay-out mee moeten nemen in deze moderne tijd en die auto's moeten eens een smallere voorvleugel en een achtervleugel over de gehele breedte (om de downforce te compenseren) voor het inhalen. De voorvleugel is nu te breed en te gevoelig voor downforce verlies. De vleugels in de jaren 05-08- waren top

    Laatste 15 jaar is er een trend gaande om het puntensysteem steeds verder op te rekken, laatste keer was dat in 2010 toen men van 1e 6 naar 1e 10 plekken ging voor punten.. Ik ben het er wel mee eens dat hoe meer je dat oprekt hoe minder speciaal punten halen wordt.. Als iedereen straks punten kan halen is het niet speciaal meer, maar aan de andere kant kan je misschien wel meer echte races gaan zien in het achterveld omdat elke positie dan telt.. Welk systeem je ook gebruikt het heeft altijd voor- en nadelen.. Dat niet iedereen punten krijgt is echter wel een F1 traditie..

    Een ander punten systeem is enkel interessant als er meer auto's op de grid staan en meer teams meedoen, kijk maar naar de MotoGP daar werkt het wel bijvoorbeeld.

      Het startveld in de Moto GP is niet veel groter (24), maar daar zie je tenminste wel keiharde gevechten tussen de coureurs om de laatste puntjes van p11 t/m 15 binnen te harken. Daarom ben ik ook voorstander van dat puntensysteem.

      Het rijdersveld is ietsjes groter (ook vaak met de testrijders die races meedoen) en 2 teams meer, dus qua verdeling van de punten is het daar te begrijpen.
      Voor de F1 is het nu simpelweg geen oplossing, in de MotoGP is het sowieso al spannender omdat men eenvoudiger in kan halen en er naast de 3 (grotere) fabrieksteams nog genoeg andere teams en rijders mee kunnen strijden om de overwinning. De verschillen zijn daar kleiner en dus werkt het puntensysteem daar wel.

    Terug naar "vroeger" wanneer alleen TOP6 werd met punten werd beloond. Hooguit daar TOP8 van maken maar niet zoals in 2003 toen het weinig nut leek om voor 2 extra punten een 2e plaats te riskeren.
    Als we zo door gaan dan verdwijnen straks ook de groot(st)e namen uit de lijsten qua punten. Ik zou niet willen dat namen zoals Schumacher, Senna, Prost enz ineens onderaan zouden staan omdat de meeste van hun een soort 'pech' hadden dat ze minimaal in TOP6 moesten finishen. Terwijl nu nr. 10 ongeveer zelfde krijgt als nr. 6 toen. Wat een casino is hiervan gemaakt. Over kwalificatie nog te zwijgen.. eerst 12 rondjes, daarna van max 1 rondje(wanneer de winnaar van vorige race(meestal Schumi) als een soort stofzuiger bezig was) tot weet ik het van alles en nog wat veranderd.
    Sorry, vandaag in zeikmodus. :-)
