Gutierrez: "Het is belangrijk om te leren van je fouten"

Esteban Gutierrez heeft een wat wankele start van zijn Formule 1-loopbaan achter de rug. De Mexicaan deed eigenlijk alleen in Spanje op een positieve manier van zich spreken. Verder valt de Sauber-coureur vooral op door foutjes, variërend van klein naar groot.

Gutierrez daarover tegen ESPN: "Je kan niet van de ene op de andere dag succesvol zijn. Het is evident; je werkt hard, doet ervaring op en het is belangrijk om van je fouten te leren. Stap voor stap probeer je vooruit te gaan, op een solide manier, want zo boek je progressie."

"Over het algemeen is het een interessante ervaring. Het is niet zo makkelijk als het lijkt. Het is een uitdaging, waar ik van geniet. Ik kijk ernaar uit om mezelf te verbeteren, te communiceren met het team en meer zelfvertrouwen op te doen. Daar heb ik me persoonlijk op gericht. Als team proberen we ook het tij te keren, hopelijk is de situatie vanaf Silverstone beter."
