Michael Christensen sluit tests als snelste af, Van der Zande derde

Michael Christensen heeft vandaag tijdens de allerlaatste testsessie voorafgaande aan het debuutseizoenvan de GP3 Series de snelste tijd laten noteren. De Deense MW Arden-coureur was enkele honderdsten sneller dan ART-coureur Esteban Gutierrez.

Esteban Gutierrez was gisteren al de snelste coureur en ook vanochtend was de voormalig Formule 3 Euroseries-coureur de snelste. In de middag werd de Mexicaan echter verslagen door Michael Christensen. De Deen, die vorig jaar nog in de Formule BMW reed, was met een 1:37.716 slechts 0.053 seconden sneller dan Gutierrez. Renger van der Zande kende wederom een zeer goede testdag en reed zowel in de ochtend als in de middag een derde tijd. Uiteindelijk eindigde de Nederlander van Mücke op de derde stek met een achterstand van twee tienden op Christensen.

Het veld zat vandaag erg dichtbij elkaar. Slechts één seconde scheidden de eerste 21 coureurs van het 30 coureur tellende veld. Nigel Melker kwam daarin tot de negentiende tijd. De teamgenoot van Van der Zande gaf net iets minder dan een seconde toe op de tijd van Christensen.
