Daniel Juncadella op pole met bijna seconde voorsprong

Daniel Juncadella heeft vanochtend de pole position veroverd voor de eerste race van de GP3 Series op Spa-Francorchamps. Echter, volgens de laatste berichten heeft de Tech 1-coureur zijn snelste tijd onder gele vlaggen gezet, dus zijn pole is nog onder voorbehoud.

Juncadella was maar liefst negen tienden sneller dan Antonio Felix da Costa. Mirko Bortolotti reed de derde tijd, terwijl kampioenschapsleider Esteban Gutierrez als vierde zal starten. De Mexicaan kan dit weekend al de eerste GP3-titel ooit veiligstellen. Titelrivaal Robert Wickens kwam niet verder dan de achtste plaats.

Nigel Melker was, net als gisteren, de snelste Nederlander. Hij kwam tot de tiende tijd op 3,2 seconden achterstand. Renger van der Zande start de eerste race vanaf de negentiende positie.
