Bamboo Engineering neemt een sabbatical

Bamboo Engineering heeft zich voor 2014 terug getrokken uit het World Touring Car Championship. De renstal kreeg de begroting niet rond en heeft besloten een sabbatical te nemen. De intentie is om in 2015 terug te keren in het WTCC.

Bamboo Engineering-directeur Richard Coleman: "Helaas zullen we dit jaar niet meedoen aan het WTCC. Het bleek voor ons niet mogelijk een budget samen te stellen waarmee we vooraan zouden kunnen strijden. We gaan actief op zoek naar de juiste omstandigheden voor een rentree in 2015. Het WTCC heeft een prachtige toekomst en ik weet uit eigen ervaring hoeveel progressie er de afgelopen tijd is geboekt."
