John Filippi dit jaar in Seat Leon van Campos Racing

Campos Racing heeft John Filippi benoemd tot een van de coureurs voor het komende seizoen in het World Touring Car Championship. Voor de 19-jarige rijder van Corsica betreft het zijn debuutjaar in het wereldkampioenschap voor toerwagens.

Filippi: "Ik heb diverse opties afgewogen voor de start van mijn professionele carrière in de autosport en de keuze is gevallen op het WTCC omdat ik denk dat ik hierin de beste kans heb op een lange loopbaan. Het is een kampioenschap met belangrijke automerken, bekende coureurs en wereldwijd veel televisie-aandacht. Ik weet dat ik voor een zware opgave sta, maar het doel voor mijn eerste seizoen is ervaring opdoen. Ik ben blij dat ik dat bij Campos Racing mag doen."
