Priaulx wint eerste race in chaotische slotfase

Andy Priaulx heeft de eerste WTCC-race op het circuit van Monza weten te winnen. In een chaotische slotfase, waarbij leider Tarquini een kapotte band kreeg in de laatste ronde, pakte Rob Huff de leiding over, die op zijn beurt één bocht voor het einde ook een lekke band op liep. Priaulx won hierdoor de race, met Farfus als tweede en Huff die toch nog als derde eindigde.

Tom Coronel eindigde door alle perikelen als vijfde. Later meer informatie.
