Volvo Polestar Cyan Racing op zoek naar coureurs en personeel

Volvo’s motorsportafdeling Polestar Cyan Racing maakte vorige week bekend vanaf volgend jaar deel te nemen aan de Wereldkampioenschap Tourwagens (WTCC). Het Zweedse merk zal met de Volvo S60 Polestar TC1 voor meerdere jaren deel nemen aan het WTCC, maar heeft nog geen rijders bekend gemaakt. Polestar Cyan Racing neemt deel met twee auto’s en heeft op dit moment drie ontwikkelingsrijders in dienst om de S60 klaar te maken voor zijn debuut. Maar of Thed Björk, Robert Dahlgren en Fredrik Ekblom ook het racezitje krijgen is nog alleszins onduidelijk voor de drie Zweedse coureurs.

“We hebben drie loyale coureurs die al een hele lange tijd betrokken zijn bij het testen van de auto”, vertelt Christian Dahl, CEO van Cyan Racing. “We hebben gelukkig nog een aantal weken voordat we een keuze gaan maken. Omdat we een meerjarig programma in het WTCC hebben is dit een zeer grote en belangrijke keuze, maar over een aantal weken zullen we weten met wie we aan de start zullen verschijnen”, aldus Dahl.

Naast coureurs is Polestar Cyan Racing ook op zoek naar personeel voor het WTCC-programma van Volvo. Op Twitter en de website van het team geven ze aan op zoek te zijn naar personeel, al lijkt het wel noodzakelijk om goed Zweeds te kunnen. Want functies die vrij zijn op dit moment zijn alleen in het Zweeds geschreven.
