Sebastien Loeb Racing door met Bennani

Voor Sebastien Loeb is voor 2016 geen plek meer bij het fabrieksteam van Citroën, maar Sebastian Loeb Racing is volgend jaar wel weer van de partij in het World Touring Car Championship. Het team vertrouwt komend seizoen opnieuw op de diensten van Mehdi Bennani, terwijl het ook één of twee extra auto's in zal schrijven.

Bennani: "Aan de vooravond van het laatste raceweekend van dit seizoen te horen krijgen dat ik ook volgend jaar voor Sebastien Loeb Racing uitkom, is natuurlijk voortreffelijk nieuws. Het toont aan dat ik het team volledig vertrouw en ook het volledige vertrouwen van het team geniet. Het is een professionele renstal, gedreven door een honger naar performance."

"Onderdeel uitmaken van dat proces, bij een team van een negenvoudig wereldkampioen rally rijden als Sebastien, dat is uniek. Ik wil alle mensen bedanken die me geholpen hebben om op dit niveau te komen. Ik was de eerste Arabische coureur om aan de start van een WTCC-race te staan. Het volgende doel is om als eerste Arabische rijder de titel in deze klasse te pakken."
