Coronel focust zich op spaarzame kansen

Tom Coronel heeft het pakket om ook komend seizoen in het World Touring Car Championship uit te komen nog niet rond. De Nederlander is druk bezig om nog een jaar in een Chevrolet Cruze van ROAL Motorsport te rijden, om dan uiteraard vol voor elke kans te gaan.

Coronel: "Met wat ik tot mijn beschikking krijg, maak ik anderen helden, zo simpel is het. Maar ik grijp ook zelf mijn kansen op faam, zoals ik mijn hele leven al doe. De eerste race die ik in het WTCC won, startte ik vanaf een achttiende plek. Mijn kansen zijn kleiner dan die van anderen, maar ik heb kansen. Zolang die kansen bestaan, zal ik ervoor gaan."

"Vorig jaar haalde ik één keer het podium, in 2014 drie keer. Met de omgedraaide startopstelling krijg ik weer kansen. Het zijn die spaarzame momenten waar ik me op focus. Aan de andere kant richt ik me voor mijn sponsors op zoveel mogelijk aandacht trekken. Dat gaat me doorgaans wel goed af."
