Hoger beroep Honda succesvol: resultaten Hongarije blijven behouden

Na het schrappen van de resultaten van Honda van de WTCC-races in Hongarije en Marokko ging het Japanse merk in hoger beroep. En met succes: de resultaten van Honda tijdens de twee races op de Hungaroring blijven staan, de resultaten van Marokko krijgen de Japanners niet terug. Honda werd uit de uitslagen van beide weekenden geschrapt nadat de vloer van de bolides niet aan de reglementen bleek te voldoen.

Honda had tussen de races in Slowakijke en Hongarije aanpassingen gedaan aan het concept van de vloer. Gisteren vond het hoger beroep na de diskwalificatie plaats en Honda heeft dus een kleine overwinning geboekt. Wel is het complete Honda-podium in Marokko geschrapt gebleven.

Honda laat in een verklaring weten nog steeds teleurgesteld te zijn over het niet volledig terugkrijgen van de resultaten van Marokko maar blij te zijn dat de resultaten van de Hungaroring weer opgenomen zijn in de totale resultaten en dus meetellen voor het wereldkampioenschap.
