Colin Turkington verrassend snelste in tweede training Brands Hatch

Colin Turkington heeft zijn terugkeer op Brands Hatch kunnen vieren met de snelste tijd in de tweede en laatste training van het WTCC. De Independent-coureur was maar liefst 0.362 seconden sneller dan de fabrieksauto's van Chevrolet.

Turkington reed een indrukwekkende 1:33.564 als snelste ronde en was daarmee Alain Menu met bijna vier tienden te snel af. Zijn teamgenoot, Yvan Muller, reed naar de derde tijd, gevolgd door de snelste SEAT-coureur Tiago Monteiro. Yvan Muller en Tom Coronel reden respectievelijk de vijfde en zesde tijd.

Augusto Farfus was de snelste BMW-coureur op de zevende stek, gevolgd door Volvo's Robert Dahlgren, Andy Priaulx en Gabriele Tarquini. Tim Coronel reed de langzaamste tijd met een achterstand van 3,5 seconden op Turkington.
