Andy Priaulx en Kristian Poulsen bestraft na afloop kwalificatie

Andy Priaulx en Kristian Poulsen hebben beiden na afloop van de kwalificatie op Brands Hatch een straf gekregen. Priaulx heeft een grid penalty ontvangen van 10 plaatsen, Poulsen start de race achteraan.

Priaulx heeft besloten zijn BMW-motor te wisselen na de kwalificatie en heeft hiervoor, omdat hij nog geen vier races met deze krachtbron had gereden, een straf van tien plaatsen op de grid gekregen. Hierdoor start de Brit als zestiende en schuift Tom Coronel op naar de achtste startplaats.

Poulsen werd door de stewards bestraft omdat ze in parc fermé na Q1 een 'onreglementair' onderdeel hadden aangetroffen op diens BMW. Hierdoor start Poulsen als 24e en laatste en mag Tim Coronel van de 23e positie vertrekken.
