Honda blijft WTCC trouw in 2017

Honda heeft aangekondigd ook in 2017 actief in het WTTC te zijn. Honda staat tweede bij de constructeurs en is de voornaamste uitdager van Citroën dit jaar. Zeker aan het begin van dit seizoen kon Honda zich prima meten met de Fransen, de laatste tijd is Citroën Honda te snel af.

Honda kwam dit jaar ook negatief in het nieuws vanwege verdenking van een onreglementaire auto. De resultaten van twee weekenden werden geschrapt, maar na een kort geding kreeg Honda van een van de weekenden het resultaat terug.

Citroën liet eerder al weten na dit seizoen te stoppen in het WTCC. Naast Honda zullen Volvo en Lada waarschijnlijk volgend seizoen ook actief blijven in de sport.
