Huff na één jaar alweer weg bij Honda

Rob Huff verlaat het fabrieksteam van Honda en beproeft zijn geluk dit jaar bij Münnich Motorsport. Hij kwam eerder in 2013 uit voor dat team. In 2017 beschikt de 37-jarige Brit over een privé ingeschreven Citroën C-Elysée. Huff heeft slechts één seizoen voor Honda gereden.

De WTCC-kampioen van 2012 verklaart: "Ik ben dolblij met de hereniging met mijn oude vrienden bij Münnich Motorsport. Na een succesvol jaar in 2013 zijn we opgewonden om de krachten voor 2017 opnieuw te bundelen voor een veel sterkere uitgangspositie."

"We hebben meer ervaring en beschikken over het competitieve Citroën-pakket. Toen Rene Münnich me benaderde met het idee om met een C-Elysée een gooi te doen naar de titel, kon ik niet weigeren. Het is dit jaar mogelijk voor een privé-team om het kampioenschap te winnen."
