Bennani bevestigd bij Sebastien Loeb Racing

Mehdi Bennani heeft zijn contract met Sebastien Loeb Racing verlengd. Daardoor komt hij in 2017 wederom in het World Touring Car Championship uit met een Citroën C-Elysée. Vorig jaar won hij twee races en eindigde hij als vijfde in het kampioenschap.

Bennani: "Ik ben verguld om de samenwerking met Sebastien Loeb Racing voort te zetten. Voor mij is stabiliteit een belangrijke factor, zeker gezien wat we de afgelopen twee jaar samen hebben geleerd. We weten allemaal hoe competitief de Citroën C-Elysée is en dat dit team in staat is om de auto optimaal te laten renderen."

"Ik vang dit seizoen aan met nog meer vertrouwen dan de voorgaande jaren. We moeten wachten tot de eerste race voordat we weten hoe de hiërarchie is, maar ik hoop een stijgende lijn te laten zien ten opzichte van 2015 en 2016. Tot slot doet het me deugd om Afriquia als nieuwe sponsor te verwelkomen."
