Neefje Yvan Muller maakt WTCC-debuut in 2017

Yann Ehrlacher maakt komend seizoen zijn debuut in de WTCC. Het neefje van WTCC-veteraan Yvan Muller zal een door RC Motorsport ingeschreven Lada Vesta besturen. Lada staat komend seizoen niet als fabrieksteam aan de start, maar biedt teams wel de mogelijkheid een auto van vorig jaar af te nemen.

Lada laat in een vroeg stadium van het vorige seizoen al weten niet meer met een fabrieksteam aan de start te zullen staan. In de winter zijn er wel pogingen geweest het team alsnog in te schrijven, maar die zijn mislukt. Ehrlacher reed vorig jaar voor Muller's team in de Europese Le Mans Series. RC Motorsport verwacht de komende weken ook de tweede coureur aan te kondigen.

Eerder deze week werd al bekend dat Tom Coronel ook volgend jaar voor ROAL Motorsport actief is het WTCC.

Ligt het aan mij of blijft Lada maar switchen.. wel meedoen niet meedoen, met fabrieksteam en dan weer zonder.
Auto had (heeft?) best potentie.
