Michel Nykjaer bevestigt contract bij SEAT voor 2011

Michel Nykjaer zal ook komend seizoen in het WTCC rijden, zo heeft de Deen vandaag bekend gemaakt. Vorig jaar maakte hij zijn debuut voor SEAT in de klasse en ook in 2011 racet hij voor het Spaanse merk.

"We hebben alle dingen rondgekregen en ik zal volgend seizoen voor SUNRED in het WTCC racen", vertelde Nykjaer. "Nu ken ik alle circuits, ook al komen er enkele nieuwe circuits bij maar dat is hetzelfde voor iedereen. Ik eindigde vorig jaar als elfde in de eindstand, mijn doel is om het dit jaar beter te doen."

SUNRED zal zeker tijdens de eerste vier weekenden nog met de dieselmotor rijden en pas later overstappen op de nieuwe 1.6 liter turbomotoren.
