WTCC boekt nieuw kijkcijferrecord met 470 miljoen kijkers

Het WTCC heeft vorig jaar een nieuw kijkcijferrecord geboekt. In totaal keken er wereldwijd 470 miljoen mensen naar de toerwagenklasse, een toename van 10 procent ten opzichte van 2009.

Ondanks dat het seizoen 2010 één raceweekend minder bevatte dan 2009 stegen de kijkcijfers van 430 miljoen in 2009 naar 470 miljoen in 2010. Maar liefst 65 procent van de kijkers komen uit Europa. In 2010 zonden 86 verschillende televisiezenders het WTCC uit.
