Huff wint eerste race na crash tussen teamgenoten Muller en Menu

Rob Huff heeft de eerste WTCC-race van dit weekend op het Italiaanse circuit van Monza gewonnen. De Brit had het zwaar om de overwinning veilig te stellen doordat zijn wagen niet helemaal in orde was na een tik van zijn teamgenoot.

De spanning bereikte zijn hoogtepunt toen Menu de tweede positie verdedigde terwijl teamgenoot Muller hem vanaf de derde positie aantikte waarna Menu crashte. Monteiro eindigde als derde, Michelisz als vierde terwijl Coronel als vijfde over de streep kwam.
